PVC Pipes — Schedule 40/80 & PVC Pressure Pipe

Primepoly supplies rigid PVC-U pressure pipe in Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 for potable water, industrial process, chemical and wastewater duty. Smooth-bore, corrosion-resistant and solvent-weld jointed, PVC is the cost-effective choice for above-ground and low-temperature pressure lines.

Pair the pipe with our matching Schedule 40/80 PVC fittings for a complete solvent-weld pressure system. Each product page lists sizes, pressure ratings and chemical-resistance notes.

PVC Pipes — FAQ

What is the difference between Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 PVC pipe?+

Both share the same outside diameter, but Schedule 80 has a thicker wall — higher pressure rating and mechanical strength. Schedule 40 suits general water and drainage; Schedule 80 is specified for higher-pressure and industrial / chemical service.

Is PVC pipe suitable for chemical and industrial use?+

Yes — PVC-U resists a wide range of acids, alkalis and salt solutions at ambient temperature, which is why it is widely used for industrial process, plating, wastewater and chemical dosing lines. Send us the medium and temperature and we will confirm compatibility.

How is PVC pressure pipe joined?+

Primarily by solvent-weld (cement) socket joints, giving a permanent, leak-tight bond. Larger diameters and repair points can use rubber-ring (gasket) push-fit sockets.

Do you also supply the matching PVC fittings?+

Yes — a full Schedule 40 / 80 PVC fitting range (couplings, elbows, tees, reducers, end caps, unions and flanges) to complete the pressure system from one factory.
